As Chartered Engineers we can offer our services on a turnkey lump sum or target sum basis for undertaking consultancy work in these areas or assisting clients in defined packages of site investigation, design, value and risk management and economic evaluation work. We are also able to assist in providing design review co-ordination and value management and risk management workshops.
In the last year we have been approached by a number of heritage railway businesses and are currently undertaking a number of commissions and developing a database of standardised asset management reporting forms. Along with our ability to maintain our existing contacts with engineers specialising in this area of engineering we are further developing our contacts with engineers specialising in civil engineering design within the railway sector. This being the case we now have an extensive contact base of experienced engineers. We are therefore able to provide our engineering skills on a direct basis to clients thus avoiding the need for clients to commission major consultants. The engineers who will undertake your commission will be the same calibre as that provided by a major consultant however our delivery mechanism cuts out the middle man with their inevitable overheads. Client feedback tells us that we are now providing substantial cost savings in the delivery of various civil design packages such as structural inspections and assessment reports. We are currently undertaking commissions for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway and the Brecon Mountain Railway Company on their railway structures.
